Dancing Girls

Tuesday I returned to one of my first loves: Belly Dance. While I began as an American Cabaret Belly Dancer, I found Tribal Belly Dance (now known as American Tribal Style, or ATS), and was absolutely smitten. I made my career performing and teaching Tribal belly dance. After several years of teaching and performing, I met the mother of ATS, Carolena Nericcio. Once making the connection with Carolena, my studies and appreciation deepened.

This week I began teaching again and I had no idea how much I’d missed it. I had a beautiful group of ladies who were all super excited to dance, and my heart grew 3 sizes, and opened up. I fell right into the swing of class. I missed it, I loved it, I need it. Thank you Sage for  inviting me to dance in your space. Thank you ladies for your enthusiasm and for trusting me to guide you. I am blessed.

I am so very happy you are dancing again. There is a part of the soul that can only be touched, soothed, healed, elevated by dance. Love to you ~ kate

Your blog makes me so happy. You did a workshop at Elevation in CO and that’s where I learned to do a super pretty Camel Walk, by “looking wistfully at the floor” and it still makes me laugh, but it still looks good. I’m trying to get certified in ATS right now.
And now we both seem to be in another similar mindset; I’m waiting for my chance to have a place with chickens and things.

    • Thank you for reading my blog! I loved my traveling dancing days and am so happy to come into contact with the lovely dancers I met. Sending you wishes for a beautiful place you can call yours, with lots of chickens and things!
